Terms and Conditions

Last updated: September 18, 2026

These Terms and Conditions apply to appliance repair, diagnostic, installation, maintenance, and related services provided by Appliance Repair Pro. By booking or authorizing service, you agree to the terms below. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

1. Service Call and Diagnostic Fee

Our standard service call and diagnostic fee is $120 plus applicable tax, unless another amount is confirmed in writing before the visit. The fee covers the technician’s visit and diagnosis. If you approve the recommended repair, the service call fee is applied toward the repair labour cost unless otherwise stated in the quote.

2. Estimates and Repair Authorization

After diagnosis, we may provide an estimate or quote for parts and labour. A quote is not authorization to proceed until the customer approves it. Unless otherwise stated, quotes are valid for 7 days and may change if additional faults, concealed damage, incorrect prior repairs, unavailable parts, or other conditions are discovered.

We do not guarantee that an appliance can be repaired before inspection. A successful diagnosis may determine that repair is not practical or economical.

3. Parts and Availability

Parts availability, pricing, shipping times, and manufacturer substitutions are outside our direct control and may change without notice. Special-order parts may require advance payment. If a repair requires an additional visit because a part must be ordered, the timing of that visit depends on parts availability and scheduling.

4. Customer-Supplied Parts

If we agree to install a part supplied by the customer, the customer is responsible for confirming that the part is correct and suitable for the appliance. Appliance Repair Pro does not warranty the customer-supplied part itself and is not responsible for defects, incompatibility, or failure of that part. Any labour warranty applies only as specifically stated on the invoice or quote.

5. Access and Safe Working Conditions

The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the appliance, electrical panel, water shutoff, gas shutoff, and surrounding work area where applicable. The technician may stop or decline work if conditions are unsafe, inaccessible, unsanitary, or likely to cause property damage or injury. Additional work required to gain access, move built-in appliances, modify cabinetry, plumbing, electrical, gas, flooring, or other property is not included unless specifically agreed.

6. Existing Damage and Hidden Conditions

Appliances and surrounding property may have pre-existing wear, corrosion, leaks, cracks, damaged fasteners, flooring damage, cabinetry issues, or previous repair work. Appliance Repair Pro is not responsible for pre-existing damage or for hidden conditions that could not reasonably be identified before work began. If additional problems are discovered, we will explain them before performing additional chargeable work whenever reasonably possible.

7. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the service or as otherwise stated on the invoice or quote. Applicable taxes are added as required by law. Parts, deposits, or special orders may require payment before ordering. Unpaid balances remain the responsibility of the customer who authorized the work unless another payer was accepted in writing.

8. Warranty

Unless otherwise stated in writing, Appliance Repair Pro provides a 90-day warranty on our repair labour for the specific repair performed. Parts are covered by the applicable manufacturer or supplier warranty, if any. Warranty coverage does not apply to unrelated failures, misuse, abuse, external causes, power or plumbing problems, pest damage, customer-supplied parts, or work performed or altered by another person after our repair.

9. Appointments and Scheduling

Appointment and arrival windows are estimates. Traffic, prior jobs, parts delays, weather, building access, and other circumstances may affect arrival time. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as possible.

10. Photos, Records, and Communications

We may take reasonable photos or notes of the appliance, model/serial label, damaged components, installation conditions, and completed work for diagnosis, quoting, warranty, insurance, training, or service records. Calls, texts, emails, and booking information may be retained as part of the service record in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, Appliance Repair Pro is responsible only for direct loss caused by our failure to exercise reasonable care in performing the authorized service. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of food, loss of use, business interruption, or damage caused by an appliance failure that existed before or occurs independently of our work, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.

12. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
